What’s good, TrentDJamz fam! If you thought the global music scene couldn’t get any crazier right now, think again. The Queen of the World Cup just linked up with the African Giant, and the internet is officially shaking.

If you’ve been anywhere near social media today, you already know the news: Shakira has officially teased a brand new World Cup anthem, and she’s bringing none other than Burna Boy along for the ride.

Yeah, you read that right. Let that sink in.

The Ultimate Global Crossover Let’s keep it a stack—nobody, and I mean nobody, owns the World Cup music space like Shakira. From the legendary “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” back in 2010 to “La La La (Brazil 2014),” whenever Shakira drops a tournament track, it becomes a global phenomenon.

But this time, she’s switching the playbook. By tapping Burna Boy for this teased collaboration, Shakira isn’t just making a pop song; she’s bridging the gap between Latin pop and Afrobeats on the biggest sporting stage in the world. It’s a massive W for the culture. Afrobeats to the world? More like Afrobeats to the stadium!

What We Know So Far Details are still pretty under wraps, but Shakira broke the internet early this morning when she dropped a cryptic (but highly combustible) teaser snippet on her socials. The clip features her signature hypnotic vocal riffs layered over a heavy, rhythmic percussion beat that transitions flawlessly into Burna’s iconic deep-toned flow.

Even from that short 15-second clip, you can just tell this is going to be a stadium banger. It’s giving heat, it’s giving percussion, and it’s giving absolute summer/fall anthemic vibes.

Why This Collab Makes Perfect Sense Shakira has always drawn heavy inspiration from African rhythms (remember, “Waka Waka” sampled Zangalewa), so teaming up with an Afrofusion pioneer like Burna Boy feels like a full-circle moment. Burna has been dominating globally, selling out arenas and bridging cultural gaps with his “Made in Lagos” era and beyond. Putting these two powerhouses on the same track is basically a cheat code for a hit record.

The TrentDJamz Verdict We don’t have an official release date or a title just yet, but if this teaser is any indication of what’s to come, clubs, stadiums, and DJ sets (including mine!) are going to be playing this on heavy rotation for months.

Are we looking at the next “Waka Waka”? Only time will tell, but the stars are definitely aligning for this one.
